Cup of Love Ministry

"always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." - Colossians 4:12

On May 22, 2010, we had our Cup of Love fellowship for our ladies. This is a ministry dedicated to developing a closer relationship between the ladies of Harvest Baptist Church, and to prayer. At our “Chocolate Extravaganza”, we served a light lunch, but the star of the activity was certainly the chocolate coffee punch, brownies, chocolate covered nuts and the chocolate fountain for dipping creampuffs, fruit, marshmallows and pretzels. Gift bags full of chocolate were prepared for our ladies and the prizes for the winners of the game that was played were, believe it or not, chocolate bath salts.

Aside from the fun that we have at the fellowship, the main focus is to take theCup of Love that each of us brings, and use it as a daily reminder to pray for our prayer partner. The requests that are shared make us better prayer warriors for one other. At each meeting, the cups are exchanged for a new one, and you have the opportunity to get to know another one of our wonderful ladies and pray for them.

Our speaker was Tina Gray’s mother Glenda Finnerty from Tucson. She presented a wonderful lesson, but before she spoke, we had a surprise visit from Gertie Fennerty….a rather unique individual.
